Whatever obstacles, issues, or situations you encounter, you can go through anything if you apply both patience and endurance. Just keep going. So do not be like the children of Israel; do not complain or give up; go through it.
Continue to accept personal responsibility, because God will hold you accountable for what you do in this life. The Scriptures give an example in Ezekiel 18, it begins with a proverb ‘The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge’. The child will no longer be held responsible or accountable for the sins of the parent [see Ezekiel 18:1-4].
Going from the Law to grace is not easy to understand. The Law required works and strict observance of ceremonies, rituals, and special days. Under grace, you are set free from ceremonies, rituals, and the observance of special days. Jesus fulfilled (completed) the demands (requirements) of the Law and came to give us God’s gift of grace.
Living a Christian life is worth every struggle and hardship. Know that you are part of a Spiritual family that has an inheritance of eternal life. It is the promise of our Father in heaven. Cherish your life, i.e. your Christian life, and make good changes as you grow.
Never did I stop to ask God what He required; I know you are not like that—self-righteous—guy I used to be. My ‘church’ experience was attending every service, three to four times a week, with no such thing as timed services (a set time to end our worship service). We were Acts 2:38 ‘holy-rollers’ and knew we were pleasing God in our manner of worship.
The experience of unanswered prayers can frustrate even the best Christian. I often think of the relationship I had with my children and the times they asked for something knowing they were disobedient or had repeated a request that I already answered. Yes, you guessed it; I either would not answer or I would tell them to leave my presence.
Embrace your Spiritual nature. Allow the Lord to renew your mind with the right mindset. Pursue the right way of acting and thinking. Take on each task with an ‘I can do’ attitude and start doing right/good. Most of all maintain this positive Spiritual attitude with the help of the Lord.
As we mature naturally and spiritually we learn to not let the small things cause us to fall apart. I find it may take a moment to collect my thoughts and pull it together but the Spirit helps to bring that joyful laughter at the thought that something tried to take my joy. Yes, I have learned to laugh and rejoice when faced with the cares of this world that before would have caused a negative response.
