God’s Message Of Love Is For Everyone In The World

"So we know the love that God has for us, and we trust that love. God is love. Everyone who lives in love lives in God, and God lives in them. 1 John 4:16 (ERV)"

STM Bible Snack

1 John 4:16 [read 1 John 4:12-16 (16)]
So we know the love that God has for us, and we trust that love. God is love. Everyone who lives in love lives in God, and God lives in them. (ERV)
KJV: And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

God did more than talk about the love he has for everyone. He put it into action, as shown by putting on flesh [John 1:14] and our sins [2 Corinthians 5:21]. That is the ultimate message [teaching example] of love.

John 3:16 [read John 3:1-21 (16)]
God loved the people in the world so much that he gave his one and only Son to save them. As a result, everyone who believes in the Son will not die. Instead, they will live for ever with God.(EASY)
KJV: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

God’s Message of LOVE

Our duty to love is clearly outlined in the Bible. Let’s look at a few examples:

Each other (fellow believers) as Christ loves

John 13:34 [read John 13:31-35 (34)]
I give you a new command: Love each other. You must love each other as I have loved you. (ICB)
KJV: A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
Jesus loved us more than He loved himself. He died for us.

Be willing to die for each other (the new command)

1 John 3:16 [read 1 John 3:16-23 (16)]
Here is how we can know what genuine love really is: It was [demonstrated by] Jesus laying down His life [on the cross] for us. And [because of that] we [too] should [be willing to] lay down our lives for [the sake of helping] our brothers [and sisters]. (AUV)
KJV: Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

Enemies

Jesus says “love your enemies”. I.e., people who want to hurt or harm you.
Matthew 5:44 [read Matthew 5:43-48 (44)]
But I am here to tell you a deeper reality: Life is constructed to operate only upon the law of love. So if you want to live, love your enemies and pray for those who mistreat you, (REMEDY)
KJV: But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Neighbor (others) as [you do] yourself

Christ teaches that we love everyone, regardless of their nationality or religious beliefs. This love is for everyone in the world.
Mark 12:31 [read 28-34 (31); compare Matthew 22:34-40 (39) and Luke 10:25-37 (27)]
The second most important commandment says: ‘Love others as much as you love yourself.’ No other commandment is more important than these.” (CEV)
KJV: And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

Husbands, love your wives

Ephesians 5:25 [read Ephesians 5:22-33 (25)]
Husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the church [Colossians 3:19; 1 Peter 3:7] and gave himself for her. (EXB)
KJV: Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

Obey God’s teaching

Accept God’s message [teaching]; do not reject it; refusing to receive God’s word is the same as refusing God. With love, Jesus delivered God’s teaching of love, so I urge you to receive it with love.
Luke 11:27-28 [read Luke 11:27-28]
As he was speaking, a woman in the crowd called out, “Blessed is the womb from where you came and the breasts that nursed you.” 28 But Jesus said, “Even more blessed are those who hear God’s word, and follow what it says.” (FBV)
KJV: And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. 28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

Jesus teaches in the temple

Jesus did not attend Jewish schools. The Father gives Him His instruction.
John 7:15-17 [read John 7:10-24 (15-17)]
Astonished, the Jewish leaders asked, “He’s never been taught! How has he mastered the Law?” 16 Jesus responded, “My teaching isn’t mine but comes from the one who sent me. 17 Whoever wants to do God’s will can tell whether my teaching is from God or whether I speak on my own.” (CEB)
KJV: And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned? 16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. 17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

The ultimate message; Love

This type of love is not a feeling, but an action. So show others that you love them as Jesus loves us.
John 15:12-14 [read John 15:9-17 (12-14)]
This is what I tell you to do: Love each other just as I have loved you. 13 No one can have greater love than to give his life for his friends. 14 You are My friends if you do what I tell you [John 13:34]. (NLV)
KJV: This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. 13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. 14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

Believe and receive God’s message of love, it is for everyone in the world. Thank you for taking the time to read this Bible snack. I urge you to make full use of it. Blessings to you and your loved ones— Tim. ☺
