Your Faith Life: The Best Life Is In Christ

Your faith life is more than believing in Jesus; it is about how you live. A life with Christ is far superior to life without Him. So, live your (the) best life secured by having Jesus in your life!

The Best Life Is In Christ

But if God himself has taken up residence in your life, you can hardly be thinking more of yourself than of him. Anyone, of course, who has not welcomed this invisible but clearly present God, the Spirit of Christ, won’t know what we’re talking about. But for you who welcome him, in whom he dwells—even though you still experience all the limitations of sin—you yourself experience life on God’s terms. It stands to reason, doesn’t it, that if the alive-and-present God who raised Jesus from the dead moves into your life, he’ll do the same thing in you that he did in Jesus, bringing you alive to himself? When God lives and breathes in you (and he does, as surely as he did in Jesus), you are delivered from that dead life. With his Spirit living in you, your body will be as alive as Christ’s! Romans 8:9-11 (MSG)

Faith Life – from Galatians 2:20

STM Bible Lesson

Galatians 2:20

I have been crucified [i.e., died] with Christ, and so I am not the one who lives [anymore] but rather, it is Christ who lives in my heart. And [now] my entire life is being lived by trusting in the Son of God [to save and keep me], because He loved me and gave Himself up for me. (AUV)

Your new life in Christ is a result of faith (a faith life). The central message of Galatians 2:20 is “I live by faith in Jesus”. Do you live by faith in Jesus?

Put yourselves to a test; see if you are [really] in the faith [i.e., see if you are genuine Christians]; examine yourselves! Or, do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in your hearts, unless [of course] you fail the test [i.e., unless you are counterfeit Christians] [2 Corinthians 13:5 (AUV)].

Crucified with Christ

When you see the word crucified in this lesson, it means to join in company with Christ. Of course, Jesus took care of your sins on the cross when He died for you. So, if you are born again, you are freed from sin’s control over you. Therefore, you are no longer a slave to sin.

We know that our old self was [figuratively] crucified with Christ, in order that the body of sin [i.e., our whole life of sin] might be destroyed [i.e., become powerless to control our actions and thoughts], so that we should not be enslaved to the practice of sin any longer [Romans 6:6 (AUV)].

He gave Himself up for us, to buy us back from [enslavement to] all [kinds of] wickedness and to purify for Himself a group of people who belong to Him and who are eager to do good deeds [Titus 2:14 (AUV)].

Live by faith

Now live by faith in the Son of God who loves you and gave himself to save you. To say it another way, rely on the faithfulness of Jesus. Why? Because He died to save you! So while you are alive, do not live for yourself, but for Jesus. He died and rose again for you.

In just a little while, he who is coming will come. He will not delay! My righteous people will live by faith. If any of them turn back, I will not be pleased with them HAB [Hebrews 10:37-38 (NSB)].

In Habakkuk 2:4, the prophet says the person who lives right (the just/righteous), lives by their faith. He spoke of true believers, the born again. The Scriptures also make reference to the prophet in Romans 1:17 and Galatians 3:11.

For the Gospel reveals how a person can be made right with God. It is through faith [in Jesus], from beginning to end, just as it is written HAB, “The righteous person will [obtain] life by [his] faith [in God]” [Romans 1:17 (AUV)].

Faith life wrap-up

Many talk about faith but fail to show that they have it. The tests and challenges of life cause most to fail faith tests. Does your faith show during life tests?

James 1:2-4

Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way. (The Message)

Make sure your faith is firm and strong. Believe in the saving grace of God. Trust in God’s word and Jesus for salvation. Faith makes it possible to please God.

In conclusion, your faith life is more than just believing; it is about how you live. Blessings to you and your loved ones— Tim ☺.
