Make Your Eternal Destiny Life In The New Jerusalem!

"The New Jerusalem - the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem - From Hebrews 12:22 (KJV)'

STM Bible Snack

Everyone who wins against Satan will be safe in God’s house. I will make them like a strong pillar1 in the temple of my God. They will never leave that place again. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of his city. The name of that city is the new Jerusalem. It will come down from heaven. My God will send it down to the earth. I will also write my new name on those people. Revelation 3:12 (EASY)

1A strong pillar in the temple represents a permanent home in heaven. The church is the pillar (support) and ground (foundation) of the truth [per 1 Timothy 3:15].

Life In The New Jerusalem!

Here are four descriptions of the new Jerusalem2 (holy city):

1. Having the glory of God
Its brilliance was like a precious stone, like a jasper, transparent as crystal. Revelation 21:11 (OEBus)
2. Its dimensions
Now the city is laid out as a perfect square; its length is the same as its width. So, he measured the city with the stick [and found it to be] fifteen hundred miles {KJV: 12,000 furlongs} each way; its length and width and height all being the same. Revelation 21:16 (AUV)
3. What the wall is made of
The wall was built of jasper, and the city was pure gold, like pure glass. Revelation 21:18 (CEB)
4. The gates and streets
Each of the twelve gates was a solid pearl. The streets of the city were made of pure gold, clear as crystal. Revelation 21:21 (CEV)

Footnote:

2 FYI, the new Jerusalem is AKA:

1. “Heavenly Jerusalem”
You have now come to Mount Zion and to the heavenly Jerusalem. This is the city of the living God, where thousands and thousands of angels have come to celebrate. Hebrews 12:22 (CEV)
2. “The bride, the Lamb’s wife” (Revelation 21:2 and 9).
Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues spoke with me. “Come,” he said, “I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.” Revelation 21:9 (CEB)
3. “Jerusalem which is above”
But the Jerusalem (which is) above is free, and she it is who is our mother. Galatians 4:26 (OEBus)
4. “The holy Jerusalem”
And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of Heaven from God, Revelation 21:10 (MKJV)

Why make it your eternal destiny?

In case you’re wondering why. For starters, let’s look at Revelation 21:4 (AMPC). If we compare it to our current life, this should make you very excited!
1. No more tears
God will wipe away every tear from their eyes;
See Isaiah 25:8 and Revelation 7:17; read Isaiah 25:1-12 (8) and Revelation 7:9-17 (17).
2. People will never die
and death shall be no more,
See Isaiah 25:8; 1 Corinthians 15:26 and 54-58; Hebrews 2:14-15; and Revelation 20:14
3. Nothing to be sad about
neither shall there be anguish (sorrow and mourning) nor grief
See Isaiah 51:11, 60:20, and 65:19.
4. Pain will not exist
nor pain any more,
5. All earthly troubles and worries will end
for the old conditions and the former order of things have passed away.
See Isaiah 25:8, 35:10, and 42:9; 2 Corinthians 5:17.

We should rejoice and be extremely glad, and we should give honor to Him. For the time has come for the Lamb’s marriage, and His bride has prepared herself [for the wedding]. Revelation 19:7 (AUV)

Your eternal destiny, a heavenly home

We know that our body—the tent we live in here on earth—will be destroyed (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body). But when that happens, God will have a house for us to live in. It will not be a house made by men. It will be a home in heaven that will last forever. 2 But now we are tired of this body. We want God to give us our heavenly home. 2 Corinthians 5:1-2 (ICB)

Are you prepared for your marriage to the Lamb? If so, be encouraged to make your eternal destiny (a never-ending) life in the new Jerusalem! I pray that you have enjoyed and will make the most of this Bible snack. Blessings to you and your loved ones— Tim. ☺
