Is Jesus God? This Is What You Should Know!

"In the beginning was the Word (Jesus), the Word (Jesus) was God. ALL things were created by Him (Jesus), the Word (Jesus) became human. I AM (Jesus is) the Beginning and the End, I AM (Jesus is) the First and the Last. Is Jesus God?"

STM Bible Snack

John 1:1, 3, and 14 [read John 1:1-18 (1, 3, and 14)]
In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. 3 All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him not even one thing was made that has come into being. 14 And the Word (Christ) became flesh, and lived among us; and we [actually] saw His glory, glory as belongs to the [One and] only begotten Son of the Father, [the Son who is truly unique, the only One of His kind, who is] full of grace and truth (absolutely free of deception). (AMP)
KJV: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

When I saw him (Jesus), I fell at his feet like a dead man. But he put his right hand on me and said, “Don’t be afraid. I’m the first and the last, (CEB)
KJV: And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

‘I Am’

God is ‘I Am’.

The creator

God was the creator.
Genesis 1:1, 21, and 27 [read Genesis 1:1-31 (1, 21, and 27)]
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 21 So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that scurries and swarms in the water, and every sort of bird—each producing offspring of the same kind. And God saw that it was good. 27 So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; (NLT)
KJV: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Jesus was the creator.
Colossians 1:16 [read Colossians 1:9-18 (16)]
Christ made everything in the heavens and on the earth. He made everything that is seen and things that are not seen. He made all the powers of heaven. Everything was made by Him and for Him. (NLV)
KJV: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

“For Christ is not only God-like, He is God in human flesh.” (NLV).
KJV: For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

So, is Jesus God? Let’s review what we presented.

  1. The Bible says God created everything, and Jesus did too.
  2. It also says Jesus and God were the first and beginning and will be the last and end.
  3. God is ‘I Am’ and so is Jesus!

Since God cannot lie [Titus 1:2] and Jesus is the truth [John 14:6], I conclude that, as stated in John 1:1, 1 John 5:20, and Colossians 2:9, Jesus is God and I hope you agree. Thank you for taking the time to read this Bible snack. I urge you to make full use of it. Blessings to you and your loved ones— Tim. ☺
