STM Bible Lesson

Is there anything to be encouraged about by being in [fellowship with] Christ? (Or) Is there any comfort from His love? Is there any sharing with the Holy Spirit? [Have you received] any affection and compassion [from Christ]? 2 [Then] make me completely happy by being like-minded, having the same love [for one another], being united in spirit, and having the same purpose. 3 Do not do anything from rivalry or from empty conceit, but in humility, consider others better than yourselves. 4 Each of you should not look out for your own interests [only], but also for those of other people.

No complaints…

14 Do everything without complaining and arguing, 15 so that you will be without just blame and innocent [of wrongdoing], children of God without fault in the middle of a crooked and perverted generation of people. You must shine among them like stars lighting up the sky, 16a as you hold out [i.e., offer to people] the message of [never ending] life. Philippians 2:1-4 and 14-16a (AUV)

Encouragement; a mantra of the scriptures

Exodus 15:2. Psalms 22:19, 23:4, 28:7, 59:17, 118:14, 119:50 and 76. Isaiah 12:2, 41:10, 65:24. Lamentations 1:16 and 21. Matthew 28:20. John 14:27. 2 Corinthians 1:3-6. Philippians 2:1-4 and 14-16a.

The following was created for your comfort and encouragement. It is a first-time attempt to extract from the Word of God to form a mantra. Please read out loud.

Exodus

Lord, You are my strength and my song; my salvation. You are my God, and I will praise you.

Psalms – a quick boost

You are my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in You, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to You in song.

LORD, You are my strength and my song; O my Strength, I sing praise to you; you, O God, are my fortress, my loving God.

O LORD, I know you are with me; O my Strength, you come quickly to help me. Surely you are my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid.

LORD, my LORD, is my strength and my song; my salvation. You are with me always, to the very end of the age. I will not be afraid.

Isaiah

You will provide for me and my children. I do not fear, for You are with me; I am not dismayed, for You are my God.

You strengthen and help me; You uphold me with Your righteous right hand Your unfailing love is my comfort, according to Your promise to me.

Lamentations

My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life. I weep and my eyes overflow with tears.

No person is near to comfort me, no one to restore my spirit. People have heard my groaning, but there is no one to comfort me.

2 Corinthians

But I praise You, the God and Father of my Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort. Who comforts me in all my troubles. So that I can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort I have received from You, my God.

For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into my life, so also through Christ my comfort overflows. If I am distressed, it produces patient endurance of the same sufferings that all suffer.

Philippians – incentive

I have encouragement from being united with Christ, I have comfort from his love. In the same way, I have fellowship with the Spirit that lives within me.

You, my Lord, make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, and being one in spirit and purpose.

I will do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility, I consider others better than myself. Accordingly, I look not only to my own interests but also to the interests of others.

I will do everything without complaining or arguing, so that I may become blameless and pure. A child of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which I shine like a star in the universe.

John

Peace is mine; my Lord gave it to me. It is not from tangible or material things. So, I will not let my heart be troubled nor will I be afraid for my God is with me!

I pray that you have enjoyed this Bible snack. Blessings to you and your loved ones— Tim. ☺
