1 Peter 1:7-9 The proof of your faith is more precious than gold that perishes. Full of glory, you rejoice greatly with indescribable joy. 9
You receive your salvation as the outcome of your faith. (NSB)
Faith, the key to a better life
Do you desire to have a better life? Then this short lesson is for you. Do you have faith in Jesus? Know that faith in Jesus Christ gives you a new life and hope of a better life that never ends [read 1 Peter 1:3-12].
Faith leads to a better life. Because of your faith in Jesus Christ, you will receive a better life in heaven. You can stop worrying about your current circumstances. Suffering in this life is normal; it is a passing thing.
Whatever you go through now will only test your faith. Find comfort in knowing each test goes away sooner or later. By faith endure all things!
Unlike life’s trials, your faith will last [endure] and show that you were faithful when Jesus comes back for you. Keep your focus on the prize—the better life and love the Lord. Increase your trust in Him and always praise Him.
Salvation, the better life—everlasting life
Your faith has a goal / a purpose, each day you get closer to that goal—your salvation. So, endure, go through all that this life throws your way. In the end, Jesus—the captain of your salvation, will deliver you from the sufferings of this life. Now rejoice and be exceedingly happy because your faith will give you a better life—your reward. Be blessed my friends and know that your better life is coming—♥ Tim.
Therefore, we do not get discouraged, for though our physical body is decaying, yet our inner person is being renewed daily. 17 For our insignificant troubles [here on earth], which last only a short time, are producing for us an immeasurable, never ending [counter-] weight of splendor [i.e., in heaven. See Romans 8:18].
18 So, we do not look at the things which can be seen, but at what cannot be seen, for the things which can be seen are [only] temporary, but the things which cannot be seen are never ending. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (AUV)
